The Artistic Heritage of Hernando Tejada: Craftsmanship and Replicas at the Museum

Susana Santiago worked with Hernando Tejada for 7 years. She was his right hand in the last years until his death and learned to work wood in the style of the master in his workshop. She is the only person capable of making replicas of Hernando Tejada's works.

The museum store offers Tejadita-style handicrafts. These are handmade crafts made by artists with images of Tejadita's works, for example, replicas of cats and mangroves, handbags, clothing, small engraved wooden objects, as well as books about the artist and posters.

Hernando Tejada's nephew, Alejandro Valencia Tejada, is a bronze sculptor. He creates beautiful bronze horses, which can also be purchased in the store.

The museum's wooden replicas are by him, as are the souvenirs that can be purchased in the museum store.
